TILOS is time-location planning software for managing linear construction projects such as roads, railway construction and maintenance, pipelines and tunnels. This planning technique is also known as time-distance planning, time chainage, the linear scheduling method, a French diagram and a March Chart. TILOS is a powerful time-location planning software tool that combines the flexibility of a drawing package with the power of project management (including scheduling, resource and cost management). Plans are represented on two-dimensional charts with time illustrated on one axis and location on the other. This enables planners to clearly see, for example, the status of a road build project in terms of what needs to be done on each section of the road and by when. This makes potential clashes much easier to identify.
